The National Counsel of Chartered Professional Accountant has set up a special working group that will be fully dedicated to providing specific guidelines on the matter of quality controls on audit engagements.

Following the introduction of Legislative Decree 135/2016 that has modified Legislative Decree 39/2010, auditors are required to apply specific and stringent standards to the audit they perform, in terms of internal organization, audit procedures, appropriate training, respect of independence principles.

It is therefore mandatory for all professionals performing an audit activity, to strictly follow current legislation and comply with all required standards.
